Do you retouch images that are not fashion or beauty?

Yes, I retouch not just for the beauty/fashion industry, but for all industries and for all people.

Why should I trust you with my images versus another retouch artist?

My passion is retouching and giving my client top quality work at reasonable prices.

I am not only a retouch artist; I also bring 15 years of modeling experience to help unlock the hidden potential inside every photograph. My knowledge of modeling, makeup and photography, enables me to see what is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, understand correct composition and cropping, know what looks natural and how to enhance an image, giving it a naturally polished look.

It is awesome to hear my client's stories of campaigns they have booked, castings they were requested for, buyers who bought their collection, record labels who contacted them, all from the images they invested in my retouching and/or post art-directing.

Do you offer other services?

Yes, I offer post-art directing and consulting.

What is post-art directing?

Certain clients need their images to have a theme or concept, to flow, to stand out; I consult and create the perfect design for their images so they get the most out of each photo shoot.

How much do you charge for consulting?

I offer free consulting for your order, if you would like further consulting for your portfolio or your career, there is a reasonable fee for that service.

Do you give quotes or estimates?

Yes, send the images to be quoted as a JPEG or TIFF format in medium resolution (500KB-3MB) to Ra@RaRetouching.com. Low resolution files will not be quoted from. If there are any specific instructions, please include them so I can give you an accurate quote.

How much do you charge?

I charge by the hour, the typical image takes 30-40 minutes. I have a 30 minute minimum per order.

Yes, if your order has 20+ images, a flat rate is available.

Do I need to let you know I'm sending an order?

Yes, it's best to notify me first before sending an order.

Can I rush an order?

Depending on my workload and the day requested, there may be a 50-100% surcharge fee for Rush Orders and full payment must accompany order.

How do I send the images to you?

For quotes, you may send the medium resolution (500KB-3MB) JPEG or TIFF images to Ra@RaRetouching.com.

For larger or multiple files, a file transfer link will be provided.

You may also mail a disc, please inquire for mailing address.

What types of payments do you accept?

How long does it take to complete an order?

It depends on what's involved, my workload and how quickly you respond to any questions or emails. Typically, a proof is sent within 24 business hours once the entire order is received.

How does the order process start?

1. Email images for a quote (if requested).

2. An Order and Release Form and the Terms and Condition will be emailed to review. Fill out the two forms and fax or email back along with the high resolution images.

3. A deposit is required with all orders.

* $29.25 per image for discounted orders

* $32.50 per image for all other orders

4. A proof will be emailed for approval or revisions.

5. Once the proof is approved, if there is a left over balance, a final invoice will be sent.

6. Once payment has been received and cleared, the completed images will be sent.

What is a Release Form?

I will send you a release form to sign allowing the images to be retouched or designed. Without approval, I will not be able to work on the images. If there is a watermark on the image, I will not be able to work on the image.

How do you send the images back to me?

Email, FileTransfer Service or Mail.

Please allow 2-7 business days from the time the order is completed and the payment has been received and cleared for delivery by email or mail. All orders are shipped via First Class U.S. Mail unless otherwise specified with a minimum charge of $2.50 per order. If you prefer using a commercial courier service, you must submit your account number.

What if I have a lot of good images, but not a perfect image?

If the images are from the same shoot with similar lighting and angles, I can take the best from each image and make it into one amazing final image!

How can I get the images printed?

Many labs have a digital department. Because my monitor is calibrated to a local lab's digital printer, your images will come out their best. Please advise if you would like my lab to make your prints. The lab will directly contact you for additional printing and shipping fees.

What if I don't want my pictures used for your promotional use?

That is fine, just make a note on the release and your before/after image will not be used to show my work.

What are your business hours?

Typically Monday-Friday 9 am-6 pm PST, excluding holidays.

Though generally I do not work on the weekends, please feel free to email me and I will try to respond over the weekend or first thing Monday morning.
